The Russian social network is undecided over which blockchain it will support tokens, but is considering cross-platform support.

According to CTO Alexander Tobol, the social network has no plans to create its own blockchain.

Instead, the platform wishes to act as an intermediary:

"...our task as Russia's largest audience interaction service with an incredible volume of user-generated content is to provide it [the user] with this opportunity."

Tobol noted that the social network is trying to come up with a scenario where users could create an NFT token and then place it on marketplaces like Solanart and OpenSea.

To verify the tokens, the site intends to use its own resources: the Content ID system.

However, when exactly the social network might acquire NFT support remains unknown.
